About the Role

At Rockstar Dundee, we're seeking a talented Associate Content Designer to join our team. As a key member of our content creation team, you'll be responsible for designing and developing engaging game content that meets the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create high-quality game content, including missions, competitive mode locations, and other game features, using our in-house content creation tools.
  • Prototype new ideas and concepts to bring them to life.
  • Maintain and refine existing content to ensure it meets our high standards.
  • Collaborate with Lead Designers to develop and iterate on content ideas.
  • Playtest and provide constructive feedback on content to ensure it meets our design goals.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our game's design goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Art, SFX, VFX, Script, Code, and Animation, to develop and implement features within our content.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest game development trends and technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Game Design or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of game design principles and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems and tools.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working in the games industry, even if in a different discipline.
  • Passion for playing online multiplayer games and understanding of game mechanics.
  • Proactive approach to staying up-to-date with the latest game development trends and technologies.
  • Portfolio of games worked on showcasing design skills.
  • Experience in writing and maintaining design documentation.
  • Experience in using third-party game development tools.
