Rockstar Dundee is seeking a talented Associate Game Content Designer to join our team of passionate creators.
We are dedicated to developing world-class entertainment experiences, and you would be part of a collaborative environment where you can learn from and work alongside some of the most skilled individuals in the industry.
What We DoOur team is responsible for crafting engaging game content, including missions, competitive modes, race tracks, open world experiences, and more.
- We work closely with other designers to brainstorm, develop, and refine ideas through frequent internal playthroughs.
- Our tools allow for rapid iteration and prototyping, enabling us to explore new concepts and integrate them seamlessly into existing content.
- Collaboration is key We frequently interact with various departments such as Art, SFX, VFX, Script, Code, Animation, and Writing to ensure the successful implementation of our designs.
As an Associate Game Content Designer, you will:
- Create compelling missions, competitive mode locations, race tracks, and other game content using our in-house tools.
- Prototype innovative ideas for new content features.
- Maintain existing content by addressing bugs, implementing feedback, and identifying potential issues.
- Collaborate with Lead Designers to further develop content and iterate on concepts.
- Provide constructive feedback through detailed notes or bug reports during gameplay, ensuring the design is implemented as intended.
- Develop a deep understanding of our team's design goals and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of specific designs.
- Work closely with other departments to develop, implement, and maintain features within our content, including VFX, SFX, Animation, and Code.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of our content creation tools in collaboration with our script team.
- Stay informed about internal systems, software, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation and resources aligned with design updates and feedback.
- Effectively manage competing priorities and keep all relevant parties informed of project status and changes.
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A strong passion for game development and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A solid understanding of game design principles.
- A Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
