About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Telecoms Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Vantara Corporation. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing telecom and networking solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and engineer telecom and networking systems, ensuring high levels of performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of telecom and networking solutions, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring that solutions meet contractual requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications and guidelines for our partners, ensuring clear change handling and project success.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in telecom and networking, with a minimum of 3 years in the UK.
  • Hands-on experience with MPLS telecom systems and high-level network design.
  • Product knowledge of FOX615 and Nokia MPLS systems.
  • Experience with network management, switches, and firewall configuration.
  • Certification in networking and cybersecurity is an advantage.
  • Experience in Hitachi's product portfolio is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with internal and external partners.
  • Bachelor of Engineering, M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
