About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Telecoms Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Vantara Corporation. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing telecom and networking solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and engineer telecom and networking systems, ensuring they meet industry best practices and contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customers and partners, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications and guidelines for our partners, ensuring clear change handling and project success.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring final results meet contractual requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying continuous improvement mindset to our projects.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in telecom and networking, with a minimum of 3 years in the UK.
  • Hands-on experience with MPLS telecom systems, high-level network design, and product knowledge of FOX615 and Nokia MPLS systems.
  • Strong networking concepts, including IPSEC, MACSEC, VPN connections, IDS, IPS, and certification in networking and cybersecurity.
  • Experience in engineering and commissioning activities, with proficiency in English and ability to communicate with international teams.
  • Bachelor of Engineering, M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant area.
