About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecoms Architect to join our team at the UK Telecoms Lab, a national and independent telecommunications laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development and evolution of our in-house telecommunications networks.

As a Telecoms Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, resilient, and high-performance telecommunications networks. You will work closely with our team of experts to ensure that our networks are representative of the UK telecommunications landscape and that we remain ahead of the game in terms of new technologies.

Our goal is to provide technical and testing services to the UK telecommunication landscape to help ensure that our Critical National Infrastructure remains secure in the face of ever-present and evolving security threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure, resilient, and high-performance telecommunications networks
  • Work closely with our team of experts to ensure that our networks are representative of the UK telecommunications landscape
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in the field of telecommunications
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure that our networks are secure and resilient in the face of evolving security threats

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing telecommunications networks
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications technologies and protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
