Catering Supervisor

The Education Authority is seeking a skilled Catering Supervisor to join our team. As a Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our catering services, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of catering staff, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery
- Prepare and cook food to high standards, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of food inventory, stock levels, and waste management
- Collaborate with the catering team to develop and implement new menu ideas and promotions
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including HACCP and food safety standards
Requirements
- NVQ level 2 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent qualification
- Three years' experience of food preparation and cooking within a catering establishment
- Evidence of effective supervision or management of a catering team
- Knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and stock control and budget management
- Willingness to undertake job-related training
Working Conditions
- The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and ability to multitask
- The role will involve standing for long periods, lifting, and carrying heavy objects
- The successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
