Job Title: Unit Catering Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unit Catering Supervisor to join our team at the Education Authority. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and beverage services to our children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of catering staff to ensure the smooth operation of our food service.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our customers.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and hygienic working environment.
  • Manage stock levels and budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer feedback and complaints.
Requirements:
  • Hold a relevant qualification in food preparation and cooking, such as NVQ level 2 or City & Guilds 706-1 & 706-2.
  • Have at least three years' experience of food preparation and cooking within a catering establishment.
  • Have evidence of effective supervision or management of a catering team.
  • Have knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and stock control and budget management.
  • Be willing to undertake job-related training and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Evidence of experience in delivering training and using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Have access to a suitable vehicle or provide sufficient information to satisfy the employer that you have access to an alternative form of transport.
