Structural CAD Technician Opportunity

This role offers an experienced structural CAD technician the chance to develop Revit / BIM skills and join a successful company with a secured, ten-year workload in the data centre, energy distribution, and renewables sectors.

About the Company:

Lethaby & Cook Ltd is one of the UK's longest established, independent practices, employing over 200 staff with expertise in civil and structural engineering, architecture, building surveying, and project management.

Your Role:

You will report to the CAD manager and work closely with structural engineering colleagues, focusing on 2D general arrangement structural drawings and 3D Revit models. The workload will cover a range of structural superstructures for buildings, typically designed in steel, masonry, and concrete, with a slightly greater emphasis on steel structures.

Training and Development:

Revit training is provided by Autodesk in conjunction with the CAD manager, and on-the-job mentoring is available. The company also supports professional development through in-house and external training, and regular CPD activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production of 2D general arrangement structural drawings
  • Development of 3D Revit models
  • Collaboration with structural engineering colleagues
  • Workload covering structural superstructures for buildings

Requirements:

Experience as a structural CAD technician, Revit skills, and a strong understanding of structural engineering principles are essential for this role.
