Job Description

**Quality Assurance Manager**

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our client, a well-established food manufacturer, as a key member of their team. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all food safety and quality aspects within your department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Drive quality objectives such as reducing complaints, foreign body contamination, and improving First Time Right performance.
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards for the area, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives to achieve zero defects and minimize losses.
  • Lead quality initiatives to identify and implement process improvements, reducing waste and increasing efficiency.
  • Promote quality awareness across the organization, ensuring a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Manage quality incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Handle non-routine product releases and stock status, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct consumer complaint investigations and provide feedback to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Review, update, and communicate quality systems such as Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Prepare for internal and external audits and perform corrective action follow-up to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in quality roles within FMCG factory environments
  • Ability to work in large teams and under pressure
  • Proven track record of implementing quality assurance programs and influencing stakeholders.
  • Experience in training and coaching for target achievement.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and food safety practices
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and products
  • Proficiency in auditing and verification
