About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Gleeds, a leading professional services firm in the construction industry. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of large-scale new build projects, extensive CAT A, B and C fit out works across various locations in the Midlands Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives
  • Engage with customers and develop, grow and maintain customer relationships
  • Deliver high quality services and deliverables ensuring that services meet our customer's requirements
  • Manage projects and/or programmes to deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with the business procedures
  • Administer contracts as a contract administrator, employer's agent or project manager
  • Produce and present to customers
  • Mentor and coach employees so that they realise their full potential
  • Prepare bids for services
  • Manage service delivery for profit
  • Advise directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or may arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced Project Manager with a strong background in construction project management, ideally with prior project management positions with public and central government clients. You will also need to be a British National (British Citizen from birth) as this is an essential requirement for security clearance.

Ideally you will already have SC clearance, however this could be progressed during period of onboarding.

Requirements
  • Sound project management and/or programme management experience post qualification
  • Sound knowledge and practiced experience of project management techniques
  • Ability to administer construction contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer's Agent and/or Project Manager
  • Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
  • Methodical way of thinking and approach to work
  • Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily
  • Excellent problem solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills
  • Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage teams
Qualifications
  • MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
  • MAPM (Member of the Association of Project Managers)
  • MCIOB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders)
  • NEC 4 Practitioner/or in the process of obtaining
