Gleeds Infrastructure is seeking a seasoned Project Director to join its Project Management team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing projects across various UK Infrastructure sectors, with a preference for Water and Utilities.
As a senior member of Gleeds, you will be responsible for overseeing project delivery, bidding, customer relationships, and coordinating the activities of other team members. This position is ideal for an established Associate Director looking for career advancement or an experienced Project Director seeking a new challenge.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business development opportunities to drive growth.
- Ensure project delivery aligns with Gleeds' processes and procedures.
- Agree on fees and charges for services with Business Unit Manager/Area Chair.
- Manage customer relationships, ensuring a customer care plan is in place.
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure timely delivery of services.
- Manage resources, including conflict resolution with fellow directors.
- Lead and manage teams, ensuring compliance with administrative requirements.
- Develop and enhance Gleeds' Project Management capability.
- Prepare bids for services and manage commercial aspects of projects.
About You
Experience, Knowledge, and Key Skills
- Proven experience in managing projects across various UK Infrastructure sectors, with a preference for Water and Utilities.
- Extensive experience in delivering project management and/or programme management services on construction projects.
- Excellent knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
- Extensive knowledge of construction technologies, sequences, methods, and materials.
- Excellent commercial background, including familiarity with contract conditions and procedures.
- Sound understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
- Experience in leading high-performance multi-disciplinary project delivery teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.
- Proficient networker with excellent negotiation skills.
