Due to our continued growth within the Central Region, we have various opportunities available for project managers to work within a number of different sectors. These include Health, Education, Higher Education, Local Government, Commercial, Industrial & Manufacturing, MOJ, and Residential.
The role of a project manager will be expected to provide project management across all stages to deliver the project against cost, time and quality requirements. The roles sit in our consultancy business.
This is a client-facing role, responsible for working together with team members, developing the clients' strategy, through to assisting in the appointment of the extended professional team of local consultants and contractors.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and managing effective communication and liaison with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure that requirements are identified, assessed and appropriately integrated into the project. Working with the client and reporting to the project lead responsible for helping to establish the strategy and delivery for the project. Assisting in developing the client's brief, delivery strategy and leading the design management, procurement and execution of the scheme. Coordinating, planning and managing internal and external meetings in relation to the project. Driving the procurement of services and works required to deliver the project. Understanding of budgets, estimates and ability to review and challenge contractors' proposals. Providing input into client system safety and project risk assessment and management process. Understanding of the design process throughout all stages of the project lifecycle and able to manage technical aspects as they arise. Managing pre-contract design development and post-contract scope changes in an efficient manner. Producing strategic project programme and have the ability to scrutinise and integrate programmes from consultants and contractors. Understanding of risk management and able to work with project teams to identify, schedule and establish mitigation strategy for project risks.About you
You have a degree or apprenticeship qualification in a relevant discipline and a member of a professional body institute such as RICS, CIOB or APM. You have experience in contract administration and using various forms of contract..
You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and work well as part of a team. You will have experience in delivering projects in a consultancy environment and or public sector. You are keen to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
