About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing and therapy teams in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct and indirect patient care with the support and supervision of registered staff members.
  • Support the assessment of patients and implementation of programmes of care delegated by appropriate staff members.
  • Work within a range of procedures and pathways in which you have received training to be competent.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as eating, showering, and using the toilet.
  • Utilize equipment to move patients when necessary.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Take patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing reassurance and support.
  • Attend meetings with other healthcare professionals to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
