About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to join our dynamic team at Connect Transform Sustain (CTS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a multidiscipline Design & Build team and managing design team performance as well as that of contractors in line with the contract.

The successful candidate will be able to maintain oversight of all project activities, identify any issues, and ensure these are resolved promptly. This exciting role will involve the delivery of low carbon buildings and unique projects.

Main Responsibilities

  • Weekly site audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Regular review meetings with contractors to discuss project progress and address any concerns
  • Effective communication with site managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure a high level of service is delivered to the customer
  • Ensuring projects meet regulatory requirements and maintaining a high level of service delivery
  • Carrying out practical completion and pre-snag audits to ensure projects are completed to a high standard
  • Managing and controlling costs to ensure projects are delivered within budget
  • Maintaining regular, consistent, professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal personnel
  • Following and complying with all policies and procedures
  • Managing, coordinating, and prioritizing workload to ensure delivery of service to a high quality level for clients and stakeholders in line with agreed programs and deadlines
  • Monitoring consultant and contractor performance, including payment authorization in accordance with the delegated authority guide
  • Preparing cash flow forecasts and implementing and monitoring relevant project control and administration systems
  • Reporting project progress and risks to clients and management
  • Preparing site assessments, due diligence reports, cost reports, project control reports, construction reports, and completion reports
  • Managing design development, coordination, reviews, and approvals during planning and construction phases
  • Following and fully complying with the client's end-to-end project management process
  • Supervising contractors in scheduling and monitoring project work and inspection upon completion
  • Preparing monthly project review reports
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required

Health and Safety

  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policy at all times
  • Reporting any accidents or issues regarding health and safety appropriately
  • Ensuring all risk assessments and safe systems of work are read, understood, signed, and followed

Requirements

  • Recognized construction qualification (BSc/HNC/HND)
  • Valid CSR card or formal health and safety training
  • Full UK driving license
  • 5 years' experience in the construction industry
  • Demonstratable NEC forms of contract experience
  • Demonstratable experience working with contract management platforms
  • High proficiency working with Microsoft Office applications
  • Delivery of projects for public sector clients
  • Demonstratable experience of leading the delivery of projects with a construction value exceeding £10 million
  • Significant experience in the management of projects which included design
  • Understanding of construction measurement principles
  • Good client-facing and communication skills
  • A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible
  • Demonstrating ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Demonstrating a flexible attitude towards assigned tasks
  • Being reliable and committed
  • Participating in overtime when required (including weekends)
  • Having a positive approach to continuous improvement processes and techniques
  • Being well-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, self-starting, well-disciplined, and commercially astute
  • Good technical writing skills and knowledge of reading drawings and tender documents
  • Demonstrating ability to implement and meet targets
  • Supervising internal teams
