Job Title: Heritage Centre Learning and Engagement Officer

Job Summary:

The Heritage Centre Learning and Engagement Officer will be responsible for managing all learning, engagement, and consultation activities, including volunteer and co-production activities, in the Newham Heritage Centre. The role will work closely with the Project Manager and engage with Regeneration colleagues who are managing the capital element of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage learning, engagement, and consultation activities in the Newham Heritage Centre
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Regeneration colleagues
  • Develop and implement creative and innovative engagement strategies
  • Build and maintain relationships with community groups, cultural stakeholders, and consultants
  • Line manage a team of staff and volunteers

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the London Borough of Newham and contribute to the development of the Newham Heritage Centre. The successful candidate will have excellent people skills, experience from the culture, learning, and engagement sectors, and the ability to work comfortably with a variety of people.
