Finance Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to join our team at The Boutique Chalet Company. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving all main financial and administrative processes, while also contributing to the company's strategic growth and direction.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in managing financial processes, including bookkeeping, payments, and statutory reporting. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with our property owners, staff, and external contacts.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management: Oversee all financial processes, including bookkeeping, payments, and statutory reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans and budgets, analyzing financial data to inform business decisions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to the management team and property owners, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Financial Governance: Design and implement financial processes and controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with our property owners, staff, and external contacts to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Accounting and Finance Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a strong background in financial management and analysis.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Proven experience in developing and implementing financial plans and budgets, analyzing financial data to inform business decisions.
- Financial Reporting: Strong experience in preparing and presenting financial reports to management teams and stakeholders.
- Financial Governance: Experience in designing and implementing financial processes and controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Competitive Salary: A strong base salary of between £45,000 and £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
- Performance-Related Bonus: A performance-related bonus, with a typical target of 8% of base salary.
- Holiday and Leave: 25 days annual leave per year, plus bank holidays, and an additional day off on or within a week of your birthday.
- Charity Day: One 'charity' day per year, allowing you to volunteer or raise money for a good cause.
We operate a hybrid working pattern, offering great flexibility and work-life balance. Your main base will be in Bath, where our UK team is located, but you will also need to occasionally travel to France to interact with colleagues and suppliers.
