About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fundraising Officer to join our Community and Events team at Victim Support. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of a successful fundraising plan that aligns with our vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes community, events, and individual giving income streams.
  • Develop and execute impactful activities to engage with supporters, donors, and stakeholders, including writing and designing engaging fundraising communications.
  • Provide exceptional supporter care by offering support, guidance, and fundraising materials to cultivate long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities, including partnerships and events.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a robust events calendar, including third-party events and in-house fundraising activities.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in fundraising, preferably in a charity or non-profit organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with supporters, donors, and stakeholders.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as experience with social media and fundraising databases.
