Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented AP Assistant to join our busy Payments Team within the Finance department. As an AP Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring exceptional service is provided to our members, brokers, and internal customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payment Processing: Work as part of a team to ensure payments are made correctly and in a timely manner, in line with internal approval guidelines and authority limits.
  • Documentation Preparation: Prepare and link supporting documentation for each payment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Team Support: Take turns on team rotas and cover other payment roles as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the team.
  • Query Resolution: Deal with initial internal and external queries in a timely manner, escalating issues as required to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Administration: Perform general administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Training and Development: Support and buddy new members of the team, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Software Utilization: Use banking and accounting software to process payments and manage financial data.
  • Meetings and Reporting: Attend team and finance meetings, providing updates and insights as required, and identifying errors to provide necessary backups and reports for correction.
