Principal Ecologist Opportunity

We are thrilled to be working with a multidisciplinary consultancy, providing ecological, arboricultural, and landscape services to a variety of high-profile clients across a diverse range of sectors in the UK.

About the Role:

Our client is seeking an innovative and proactive Principal Ecologist to join the Ecology team. The successful candidate will deliver ecological advice to a range of clients, support, manage, and develop the Ecology team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver ecological advice to clients
  • Support, manage, and develop the Ecology team
  • Hold a relevant degree in ecology and be a member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management
  • Have significant experience in a similar role, demonstrating success in managing multifaceted projects and teams
  • Have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of ecology-related legislation and policy and its practical application in a UK context
  • Have extensive experience in ecological assessment, protected species survey, and a solid understanding of the application of relevant protected species planning policies
  • Have strong species identification skills across a range of taxonomic groups

Requirements:

  • A full UK driving licence is required for this role with access to your own vehicle
