Principal or Senior Ecologist

Flagship Consulting is in search of a dedicated full-time Principal Ecologist and Senior Ecologist to join our expanding team. These positions will be located in our Cambridgeshire office, providing an exciting opportunity to establish and lead a new ecology division.

Our consultancy, currently home to around 75 professionals, is poised for significant growth and is committed to enhancing our workforce in the coming years, which will open up numerous avenues for career advancement.

The ideal candidates will hold a degree in Ecology, Botany, Zoology, or a related field, complemented by a minimum of 3 years of pertinent experience. Strong fieldwork capabilities, proficiency in data analysis, and a knack for addressing ecological challenges effectively are essential. Furthermore, candidates should demonstrate the ability to produce comprehensive technical reports, manage multiple projects concurrently, and collaborate seamlessly within interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engagement in all phases of projects, from initial planning to the execution of mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

Desirable Skills:

  • CIEEM membership.
  • Protected species licenses.
  • Experience with QGIS.
  • Project management skills.
  • Strong client communication abilities.
