Job Overview

This pivotal position necessitates a comprehensive understanding of payment systems and products, alongside adept project management skills and a collaborative approach to align corporate objectives with the capabilities of our network providers.

As an Agent Bank Network Manager - Vice President in Operations, you will oversee the ongoing regulatory and operational performance of our agent bank partners, ensuring that our network evolves in alignment with the broader business strategy. You will engage with key stakeholders across Business, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Legal, and the network of agent banks and Financial Market Infrastructures (FMIs). Your reporting line will be directly to the regional Network Management head.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a profound understanding of cash payment systems, cash products, cash management, and treasury processes, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across all relevant jurisdictions.
  • Take ownership of the Due Diligence and Final Assessment Report activities for designated markets and Agent Banks, adhering to regulatory, policy, and procedural timelines.
  • Identify risks and exposures affecting JPMorgan's Lines of Business (LOBs), stakeholders, and other key cross-functional partners, collaborating to find solutions and mitigations.
  • Foster strong relationships with business lines and partners, articulating key business strategies and requirements effectively.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of assigned markets, applying this knowledge to support business and client needs, including thought leadership on market and regulatory changes.
  • Conduct analyses on provider and network capabilities, formulating recommendations for business partners and stakeholders.
  • Manage the delivery of agent bank changes in assigned markets, identified through the due diligence process, while achieving fee reductions as per pricing strategy.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to market-specific inquiries and escalations from Businesses, Clients, and Network Management colleagues, ensuring swift communication of market information.
  • Represent Network Management in new business initiatives (NBIs), evaluating and identifying risks associated with new or prospective engagements, products, or businesses.
  • Support audit requirements, participate in projects, committees, and governance forums, and represent J.P. Morgan at the industry level as needed.
  • Manage crisis events impacting covered markets, coordinating activities across stakeholders and partners.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Proven experience in the payments industry with strong expertise in payment products and systems, including regulatory environments.
  • Extensive experience in Third Party Oversight (TPO), risk, control, and regulatory management.
  • Exceptional relationship management, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management abilities.
  • Capacity to connect disparate information and demonstrate sound judgment under pressure.
  • Aptitude for identifying and negotiating innovative solutions to challenges.
  • Background in financial services with relevant industry experience.
  • Self-driven with a strong ability to collaborate across the global Network Management team and J.P. Morgan, building partnerships with LOBs and functional areas such as Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Technology.
  • Meticulous attention to detail combined with the ability to synthesize information and develop strategic approaches.
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly in risk assessment.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities and thrive under pressure in a dynamic business environment.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Experience working with agent banks, FMIs, or non-bank financial institutions is preferred.
  • Previous experience in Network Management is a plus.
