Job Title: Hydraulic Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Systems Engineer to join our team at Morgan Fraser Group Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing hydraulic systems for commercial, leisure, and shipping sectors of the marine industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers to develop hydraulic systems
  • Design and specification of hydraulic systems from producing schematics to 3D modeling and manufacturing drawings of manifolds and other components
  • Produce documentation and calculations to support designs
  • Modeling of hydraulic systems with Simcenter AMEsim for validation of systems
  • Develop and test hydraulic systems
  • Supplier selection and management

Requirements:

  • Higher education within a Fluid Power, Mechanical, Electrical, control systems or related field
  • NFPC (or equivalent) or Hydraulics Training
  • Understanding of Industrial and Mobile hydraulic systems and components
  • Understanding of Mechanical systems
  • Experience with CAD design, preferably Siemens NX
  • Experience in creation of hydraulic schematics
  • Strong experience with Microsoft office applications

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Simcenter AMEsim simulation software
  • Knowledge of marine industry, classification societies and electrical systems or PLC systems
  • EPlan ECAD experience
