Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the HIV, Hepatology and Sexual Health Clinical Research Team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a Clinical Research Assistant, you will provide vital support to the team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality clinical trials.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the clinical research team, including processing biological samples, arranging courier collection, and maintaining kit inventory.
  • Assist in the checking of basic research equipment and ensure that all necessary supplies are ordered in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and collate data for the Barts Health NHS Injectables service, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements
  • GCSE/NVQ3 passes in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Able to undertake VDU work and have experience of data entry.
  • Knowledge of working in an NHS office environment and experience of working to deadlines.
  • Previous experience in answering and dealing with telephone enquiries.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Familiarity with working in clinical trials and experience in processing laboratory samples.
  • Working knowledge of IT programmes such as Word and Excel.
