Senior Structural Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at AGM Construction Recruitment. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of various projects, including concrete frame, steel frame, and refurbishment of existing structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize software such as MasterSeries, Tekla, CSC Fastrak, or Strand7 for calculations and structural design.
  • Prepare, detail, and review drawings, overseeing CAD Technicians in this process.
  • Assist in design quotes preparation and report writing.
  • Supervise, mentor, and review work for Graduates, Engineers, and Technicians.
  • Collaborate with engineers in other disciplines such as geotechnical and civil/infrastructure design.
  • Attend client and project meetings to address needs, requirements, and design issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Civil/Structural engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience.
  • Chartered status with ICE or IStructE is preferred or working towards it.
  • Hands-on design experience, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adept at working collaboratively in a team environment.
