About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Design Engineer to join our Underground Structures Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering designs and solutions for mining and civils projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engineering designs and solutions for underground structures, including tunnels and shafts
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Conduct engineering analysis and design using numerical models and codified processes
  • Assist project managers in the successful delivery of projects by managing own involvement in projects, including time, budget, and quality control
  • Occasional project-based travel and site work, working away both in the UK and overseas
  • Working in a collaborative way, supporting intermediate and senior staff, to achieve project goals

About the Team

The Underground Structures Team is responsible for the design of underground structures associated with mining projects, civils, and utilities schemes, transport tunnels/structures, as well as general ground support solutions. We are a diverse team of engineers, scientists, and modellers who work together to deliver high-quality engineering designs and solutions.
