Position Title:
Electrical Systems Engineer

Role Overview:
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a distinguished global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Systems Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to execute planned preventative maintenance and address reactive issues related to building systems and equipment, adhering to established service standards. You will also be tasked with minor installation projects and responding to urgent engineering situations.

Core Duties:
1. Conduct routine maintenance on all electrical and mechanical systems to meet and surpass expectations and service level agreements.
2. Perform reactive repairs on all systems as necessary, coordinating with relevant subcontractors when needed.
3. Execute all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks as per the provided guidelines.
4. Document all PPM defects through the designated defect reporting process and collaborate with supervisors regarding defect management.
5. Update weekly equipment reports to reflect any changes in equipment status.
6. Engage with subcontractors for repairs and quotations, ensuring their performance meets our standards and that work areas are left in satisfactory condition.

7. Sign off on completed PPM and reactive tasks using your mobile device in accordance with company policies and procedures.

8. Uphold a professional image of CBRE to clients and visitors, ensuring exceptional customer service is consistently delivered.

9. Foster and maintain positive working relationships with client representatives and their personnel.

10. Ensure a safe and healthy working environment, complying with all company and client site policies and procedures.

11. Accurately maintain site logs and associated documentation.

12. Participate in the call-out rota as required.

13. Understand and maintain all systems on site.

14. Collaborate with other trade engineers to ensure timely resolution of electrical issues across all systems.

Qualifications:
Skills:
- A solid educational background with proficiency in written and spoken English and basic mathematics.
- Recognized Electrical Qualification.
- C&G 17th Edition in Electrical Installations.
- C&G Test and Inspection.

Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of various building electrical systems and adherence to Planned Preventative Maintenance protocols.
- Current knowledge of relevant British Standards concerning electrical systems, including emergency lighting, fire alarms, power systems, and Building Management Systems (BMS).

Experience:
- Proven experience in structured PPM delivery.
- Familiarity with business-critical equipment.
- Background in customer-focused roles.
- Previous experience in health and safety-oriented positions.
- Experience in managing electrical systems and associated documentation.

Aptitude:
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Capacity to make sound decisions when necessary.
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability, with the ability to work independently.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.

Working Conditions:
- Availability to participate in a call-out rota.
- Flexibility to work shifts as per contract requirements.
