About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Solution Consultant to join our team at AspenTech. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for partnering with customers to understand their business challenges and develop solutions that address their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop industry-specific solutions for customers, leveraging your expertise in process industries and digital technologies.
  • Conduct value discovery sessions with customers to understand their critical business issues and present AspenTech's software capabilities as the best possible solution.
  • Build client-specific solutions on the AspenTech platform, utilizing all available tool options.
  • Develop robust recommendations, proposals, and scope of work documents for AspenTech Consulting engagements.
  • Establish a credible value proposition with customers, advising on relevant AspenTech solutions and services.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, develop solutions to meet customer needs, and execute sales campaigns and plans.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance and reliability working in process industries, such as petrochemical, specialty chemicals, metals, and mining.
  • Consulting, pre-sales, and/or professional services experience in process industries is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance and reliability-related products, CMMS, APM applications, Reliability Engineering, Condition Monitoring, and digital technologies such as Cloud, Data Management, ML/AI.
  • Strong understanding of process industry economics and ability to interact with potential clients and discuss their work processes.
  • Balance of business and technology acumen, including ability to articulate high-level technical solutions to business problems and the differentiated value those solutions can provide.
  • Motivated, self-driven, agile, and disciplined individual with a strong drive to solve customer problems and rapidly convert pipeline opportunities into closed deals.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills, including ability to create clear observations, analysis, and conclusions based on customer interviews and data.
  • Relevant technical qualifications, such as BSc Engineering or equivalent, with at least 6 years of working experience.
  • English language proficiency, with fluency in a second language advantageous.
  • Business travel requirements, with flexibility to travel for approximately 30% of total working time.
