Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Educator to join our team at the NHS. As a Specialised Therapeutic Radiographer - Clinical Educator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of digital clinical placements across Integrated Care Systems, including National Programmes.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Project Design and Delivery: Support the design and delivery of digital clinical placements, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for pre and post-registration learners.
  2. Leadership Coaching: Maintain a leadership coaching model to create a psychologically safe learning environment, promoting learner safety and well-being.
  3. Learner Safety and Progression: Ensure learner safety through risk assessment, progression, and assessment, placement completion, and tariff-related activity in line with the NHS Education Contract.
  4. Radiography Education: Deliver radiotherapy education activity, supported by core education leadership teams, in line with highly specialised radiotherapy education standards.
  5. Framework Development: Influence radiotherapy education frameworks, ensuring high levels of training standards that provide good care and clinical outcomes for patients.
  6. Training and Support: Support pre-registration and post-registration radiotherapy-related training, including inductions, preceptorship, progression, support, and supervision, ensuring inclusivity.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: DCR(T) or BSc (Hons), Therapeutic Radiographer State Registered Therapeutic Radiographer, HCPC Registration, evidence of CPD activity, and post-graduate study/education in an area relevant to the role.
  • Experience: Expert experience with contemporary equipment and techniques, working with ISO 9001/2008 or equivalent accredited quality systems, significant experience at a senior level, and evidence of participation in audit, research, and/or radiotherapy development work.
  • Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, manage conflict resolution, and lead the introduction of new techniques, equipment, or software.
  • Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of IR(ME)R 2000 and IRR 1999, radiotherapy physics and anatomy, and awareness of current trends in radiotherapy.
Working Arrangements
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours and travel to other Christie sites when required.
  • On-Call Service: Participation in an on-call service.
