Head of Quality Assurance

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Head of Quality Assurance at Astute People. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our quality management efforts and ensure the highest standards of fuel quality at our Energy from Waste power stations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day management of Fuel Supply Agreements, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular supplier visits, audits, and inspections to ensure the quality of fuel delivered to our sites.
- Support the Operations Team in monitoring and reporting non-conforming waste/fuel quality, and work closely with suppliers to resolve any issues.
- Monitor samples for compliance with Calorific Value and REGOs, and coordinate fuel delivery schedules and logistics when the plant is offline.
- Relevant Waste Management qualification, such as WAMITAB or COTC, is preferred.
- Experience with Fuel Supply Agreements or Contracts, and strong contract and commercial management skills, including bids and KPI monitoring.
- Knowledge of the UK Waste Market and related policies/legislation.
