About the Role:

Suffolk County Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Computing to lead the development of our computing curriculum and digital ecosystem. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive computing curriculum that aligns with our educational approach and fosters academic excellence.
  • Lead the management and strategic direction of the computing curriculum, working collaboratively with teachers and leaders to achieve positive and impactful results.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of our digital ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration with our curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver professional development opportunities that enhance teaching and learning in computing.
  • Contribute to the development of our school's educational vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with our values and goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of exemplary teaching and leadership in computing, with a strong focus on student outcomes and academic excellence.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of computing curriculum and digital technologies, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
