Second Chef Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Second Chef to join our culinary team at Crooton. As a Second Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu development and kitchen operations
  • Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
  • Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes cooked at the highest standards
  • Create a warm, efficient, and fun environment
  • Work within budget and manage stock control
  • Complete regular audits

Requirements:

  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent
  • A good understanding of nutrition and HACCP
  • Experience of working with fresh seasonal food
  • A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the well-being of residents
