Quantity Surveyor – Plymouth

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with a leading construction main contractor on a unique and rare project in the region. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for the phase/section/package, including internal package procurement and commercial reporting, ensuring alignment with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of package commercial plans, incorporating deliverables and commercial plan targets into package scopes and pricing documents.
  • Support the project team with commercial and contractual expertise.
  • Assist the procurement team in producing package procurement documents as required, ensuring efficient and effective procurement processes.
  • Assess, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
  • Implement policies for risk management.
  • Prepare Subcontract Final Accounts for review and sign-off.
  • Prepare and present monthly Cost Reports.
  • Value works executed by Sub-Contractors.
  • Certify interim and final payments.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying roles within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration, procurement, and change management processes.
  • Proficiency in using Excel and project management tools.
  • Relevant driving licence.
