Exciting Opportunities for Special Educational Needs Support Assistants

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Special Educational Needs Support Assistant. This position involves working with students who require additional support in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Provide both educational and emotional guidance to young learners within the educational environment.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members to monitor and adapt educational strategies to meet individual student needs.
  • Engage confidently with learners facing SEMH and/or Autism challenges.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in supporting young individuals with SEMH needs and/or Autism.
  • Experience in a specialized educational setting is preferred, but we welcome applications from those with mainstream teaching assistant experience looking to transition into a SEN role.
  • The ideal candidate will align with the school's commitment to a collaborative approach in addressing the academic and emotional needs of all students.

While experience in a specialized facility is advantageous, we are also interested in candidates from mainstream educational backgrounds who are eager to embrace a SEN environment.
