Senior System Specialist Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Specialist Engineer to join our team within Collins Aerospace Electronic Controls and Motor Systems, Solihull.

The successful candidate will be responsible for an extensive range of Systems Engineering tasks, from requirement definition to system verification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requirements analysis and decomposition of requirements up to HW/SW item allocation.
  • Support the definition of MoC for Electric Propulsion Units (Motor and Motor Controller) to meet the safety and certification requirements.
  • Requirements management and configuration/change control.
  • Support design reviews, development milestones, system verification and aircraft certification.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering. Power Electronics background is a differential.
  • Development and certification experience of safety-critical systems in an aerospace company, preferably in electronics or propulsion.
  • Experience working under configuration control.
  • Learning ability and desire to be at the forefront of engineering innovation.
  • Experience with reuse of requirements and/or other system engineering artifacts.
