Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our Greggs team. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of retail professionals to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, guidance, and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Drive sales growth and profitability through effective inventory management, visual merchandising, and promotional activities.
- Ensure the store is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and security.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement business plans, targets, and initiatives to drive store performance.
- Monitor and control store expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer complaints and feedback in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or Team Lead in a retail environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business or related field preferred.
