About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systemic Family Therapist to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality family therapy services to children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat young people with a wide range of presentations and their families.
  • Maintain a systemic perspective of the young people we see in context and hold formulation hypotheses to deliver evidence-based treatment.
  • Maintain the voice and perspective of the young people we work with and regard their safety as the central aspect in everything we do.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Postgraduate qualification in family and systemic psychotherapy.
  • Current registration as a Systemic and Family Psychotherapist with UKCP or equivalent body.
  • Experience of working as a family and systemic psychotherapist within CAMHS.
  • Experience of maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse, and the threat of physical abuse.
  • Experience of working with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Skills in the use of methods of Systemic Psychotherapy/Family therapy assessment, intervention, and management frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration.
