About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical and team leadership, working with a multi-disciplinary team to provide expert advice and support to children and young people with complex mental health needs and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and team leadership to the CAMHS team
- Lead and work with other members of the multi-disciplinary CAMHS team and with colleagues from other services
- Provide expert advice, support and supervision on safeguarding children
- Assess, plan, implement and review care for children and young people in CAMHS
- Support the Dudley CAMHS Duty and SPA rota system
- Provide professional advice and support to other agencies and members of the multi-disciplinary team
- Support the service manager by offering professional leadership, team leadership and line management supervision to other team members
Person Specification
We are looking for an individual with a recognised professional qualification and registration in a CAMHS-related subject, a degree or equivalent experience in a CAMHS-related field, and evidence of continuous professional development in mental health. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working in specialist CAMHS or equivalent transferable skills, and will be able to demonstrate the ability to apply a variety of therapeutic approaches within a CAMH setting.
