Job Summary:

BRC is seeking a skilled Mental Health Crisis Support Worker to join our team in the Bristol area. As a Crisis Worker, you will work alongside a leading Mental Health & Wellbeing Charity to provide support to individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a caseload of service users with low and medium risk mental health needs, working collaboratively with families, carers, and friends.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team to signpost service users to appropriate resources and services.
  • Co-produce, implement, and review recovery plans, crisis plans, and self-management tools with service users, adhering to best practice.
  • Enable service users to make informed decisions about their mental wellbeing, promoting independence and providing advocacy when necessary.
  • Work in a culturally sensitive manner, tailoring support to meet individual needs, challenging stigma and discrimination, and advocating for service users when required.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of mental health recovery principles and best practices.
