About the Role

Oasis Community Learning is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Science Curriculum Leader to join our team at Oasis Academy Lord's Hill. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our Science curriculum, ensuring that it is aligned with our academy's vision and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Science curriculum that meets the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs and abilities.
  • Lead a team of Science teachers and support staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Science curriculum, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Collaborate with other subject leaders to ensure that our curriculum is cohesive and aligned with our academy's vision.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including universities and other educational institutions, to ensure that our curriculum is relevant and up-to-date.

Requirements

  • Proven experience of leading a Science curriculum in a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of teachers and support staff.
  • Strong subject knowledge and expertise in Science education.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions about curriculum development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and external partners.
