We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced English teacher to take on the role of Raising Standards Leader for Literacy and Intervention at a rapidly improving secondary school in Southampton.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of literacy strategies to drive student achievement
- Collaborate with the English department to deliver an engaging and aspirational curriculum
- Support the school's leadership team in driving up standards of literacy across the school
- Develop and deliver professional development opportunities for staff to improve their literacy skills
- Work closely with the Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to deliver small group interventions and one-to-one tutoring for disadvantaged and vulnerable students
- Proven track record of achieving strong results in English at KS3/KS4
- Experience in leading initiatives to drive student achievement in literacy
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
- Commitment to supporting students of all backgrounds to achieve their best outcomes
- Ability to work within a supportive and ambitious department
