Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Industry-Specific Solutions: Develop and implement industry-specific solutions for our customers, requiring direct engagement with customers to assess their needs and develop solutions and value propositions.
- Understand Customer Business Issues: Determine and understand prospective clients' critical business issues to present and demonstrate Aspen Technology's software capabilities as the best possible solution to win the business.
- Build Client-Specific Solutions: Build client-specific solutions on the Aspen Technology platforms using all available tools and options.
- Develop Recommendations: Develop robust recommendations, proposals, and scope of work documents for Aspen Technology Consulting engagements while identifying critical dependencies and gaps.
- Establish Value Proposition: Establish a credible value proposition with customers and advise on relevant Aspen Technology solutions and services.
- Develop Sales Campaigns: Develop and execute sales campaigns and plans together with the Sales teams.
- Support Pipeline Development: Proactively support pipeline development, including marketing, account planning, awareness sessions, and sales execution.
Requirements:
- Consulting Experience: Previous experience as a consultant, pre-sales, or professional services consultant, particularly in refining or olefins experience.
- Technical Expertise: Experience with Multivariable Process control technologies (Aspen DMCplus or DMC3 preferred), Real-Time Optimization technologies, or refining Planning & Scheduling.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of economic scenarios and drivers in refining and other industries, with the ability to interact with potential clients and discuss their production facilities, economics, and work processes.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to create clear observations, analysis, and conclusions based on customer interviews and data.
- Travel Requirements: Travel up to 50%.
