We are seeking a highly skilled Stock and Inventory Manager to join our team at Wincanton Logistics. This is a key position that will play a crucial role in furthering our successful relationship with our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Management: Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to ensure seamless operations and high levels of service.
- Reporting and Analytics: Create and maintain accurate and timely reports using WMS SAP Globe, eWM, Manhattan, and ASRS MCS Swisslog.
- Warehouse Management: Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the Warehouse Management System to ensure efficient processes and high levels of service.
- Team Management: Lead and manage teams across different departments to ensure the right skills and knowledge are in place.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve problems in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Project Management: Design and implement re-engineering projects to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Communication: Collaborate with management to advise on problems and shutdowns that may impact operational performance.
- Stock Control: Manage and control stock levels and occupancy across all contracts.
- Supply Chain Management: Coordinate the flow of stock into outside storage and ensure accurate network stock listings.
- Client Collaboration: Work with customers on network and site projects, new system platforms, and changes to existing platforms.
- Continuous Improvement: Coach and promote continuous improvement within the team and site.
- Reporting and Presentations: Provide statistical system information in various formats to meet business needs.
- Warehouse Layout: Maintain and optimize warehouse layout and pick-face layout to ensure efficient processes.
- Client Presentations: Deliver weekly and monthly presentations to clients.
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar role is required.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent team building, leadership, and motivational skills are essential.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate and influence in an open and honest manner with colleagues at all levels.
- Adaptability: Demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm, and flexibility to change management and influence site culture.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and interpretive skills are required.
- Technical Skills: Experience of SAP Globe, Manhattan is desirable but not essential.
