Job Summary

Ripon Farm Services Ltd. is a family-owned agricultural dealer with 13 sites across Yorkshire, Teesside, Lincolnshire, and Nottinghamshire. We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor (ER Specialist) to champion the employee experience journey and advise on employee relations cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Group HR Manager to develop the Employee Experience and People strategy, aligning with business goals and values.
  • Coach line managers to improve their capabilities with performance and talent systems, and other aspects of ER.
  • Provide expert advice, coaching, and development to managers to resolve ER cases effectively and in line with legislative requirements and company policies.
  • Mediate and facilitate conflict resolution between parties, promoting open communication and constructive dialogue.
  • Manage the end-to-end caseload, ensuring colleagues are treated fairly through robust ER advice and support.
  • Collaborate with case managers to resolve cases efficiently, mitigating organisational risks.
  • Support employees' health and well-being, promoting best practices and keeping abreast of changes in employment law.
  • Support general day-to-day HR admin within a busy HR team.
Requirements
  • CIPD qualified to Level 5 or above, or equivalent degree and/or experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience in Employee Relations and/or Human Resources Advisor, with a background in medium to large-sized organisations.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, HR policies, and procedures, as well as best practices, disciplinary and grievance processes, and employee engagement strategies.
  • Background in managing ER cases, with strong attention to detail, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact and adapt to the audience.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Experience in writing and delivering training material, with strong coaching skills.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for your own contribution, and be proactive and self-motivated.
  • Excellent IT skills, with experience of using Microsoft packages and other bespoke software.
