Sustainable Design Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Sustainable Design Consultant to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our Sustainable Design team, you will work closely with other talented design professionals to deliver a comprehensive portfolio of BREEAM consultancy services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sustainable design and a proven track record of delivering high-quality BREEAM assessments. You will be responsible for leading client and design team workshops, collaborating with stakeholders to develop sustainable design strategies, and preparing and submitting assessment reports for BREEAM.
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual who is passionate about sustainable design and is committed to delivering exceptional results. If you have a strong understanding of Building Regulations and excellent verbal and written communication skills, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Provide BREEAM consultancy services on a range of asset types, including offices, data centres, education and training facilities, residential institutions, and workshops.
- Lead client and design team workshops to ensure clear and articulate communication.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to develop sustainable design strategies and produce sustainability statements in support of planning applications.
- Prepare and submit assessment reports for BREEAM.
- Advise clients on cost-effective solutions to achieve desired BREEAM ratings.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant subject.
- 4 or more years of relevant industry experience.
- Licenced BREEAM assessor.
- Understanding of Building Regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex sustainable design concepts to clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Willing to apply for security clearance.
- Experience in DREAM, and Sustainability Appraisals for projects in the defence sector.
- Some experience in thermal modelling or SAP assessments.
- Knowledge of whole life-cycle carbon assessments (preferably using One Click LCA).
- Facilitating circular economy workshops with key stakeholders.
- Be willing to complete S/C level of security clearance on appointment (to assist Defence Sector).
