About the Role

A vibrant primary school is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role offers the chance to make a real impact in the lives of young learners and help them achieve their full potential within a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support to students, encompassing their emotional, physical, and educational development.
  • Collaborate with teachers in planning, delivering, and monitoring Individual Education Plan (IEP) targets, ensuring personalized learning experiences for each student.
  • Foster the development of social skills among students both within and outside the classroom setting, creating a positive and supportive learning community.
  • Offer constructive feedback on student learning and behavior to teachers and the SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), contributing to ongoing progress and improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure that learning materials are tailored to meet the diverse needs of all students.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in supporting students with special educational needs (SEND).
  • A genuine passion for delivering high-quality intervention programs that make a tangible difference in student outcomes.
  • A solid general education background, demonstrating a strong understanding of core academic principles.
  • Confidence in working within the Key Stage One/Early Years curriculum framework.
  • NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification.
