We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Specialist SEND Support Assistant. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs in a classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support the behavior of students with additional needs, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- De-escalate behavioral concerns during lessons, adhering to safeguarding specifications and best practices.
- Provide individualized support to students, adapting to their unique needs and requirements.
- Develop and maintain a non-judgmental approach to students' learning abilities, fostering a growth mindset.
- Stay up-to-date with safeguarding practices and effective pastoral care, ensuring the well-being of all students.
Requirements:
- Enthusiasm and proactivity in your approach to the role.
- A consistent and objective approach to students, both in and outside the classroom.
- Passion for educating young people and instilling confidence in students' abilities.
- Knowledge and awareness of SEN needs and implemented academic adjustments.
- A proven track record in similar roles or institutions, with the right to work in the UK.

All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
