About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Systems Engineer to join our team at Morgan Fraser Group Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing hydraulic systems for our clients in the marine industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers to develop hydraulic systems for commercial, leisure, and shipping sectors of the marine industry.
  • Design and specify hydraulic systems, from producing schematics to 3D modeling and manufacturing drawings of manifolds and other components.
  • Produce documentation and calculations to support designs.
  • Model hydraulic systems using Simcenter AMEsim for validation of systems.
  • Develop and test hydraulic systems.
  • Manage supplier selection and procurement.
Requirements
  • Higher education in a relevant field, such as Fluid Power, Mechanical, Electrical, or Control Systems.
  • NFPC (or equivalent) or Hydraulics Training.
  • Understanding of industrial and mobile hydraulic systems and components.
  • Understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Experience with CAD design, preferably Siemens NX.
  • Experience in creating hydraulic schematics.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Simcenter AMEsim simulation software.
  • Knowledge of the marine industry, classification societies, and electrical systems or PLC systems.
  • EPlan ECAD experience.
