Job Title: Senior Wind Turbine Engineer

Job Summary:

Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel is seeking a highly skilled Senior Wind Turbine Engineer to lead our Wind Turbine Package Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing and delivering technical documentation and deliverables from WTG suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate the Wind Turbine Package Engineering team to achieve technical and project goals.
  • Review and deliver technical documentation and deliverables from WTG suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Manage and coordinate Wind Turbine technical and interface aspects, including technical schedules and discussions with turbine manufacturers.
  • Be responsible for the choice of technologies and technical configurations for Wind Turbine projects.
  • Participate in design review and manufacturing meetings with suppliers and inspectors to ensure technical excellence.
  • Assist with clarification of technical queries and support in technical contract negotiations with turbine manufacturers.
  • Liaise with external professionals who provide technical expertise and project support in evaluation of operational and performance issues.
  • Organize and lead conference calls with suppliers to ensure their compliance with contractual obligations.

Requirements:

  • Extensive technical and practical knowledge of wind turbine technology, including electrical and mechanical knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of industry standards and offshore regulations.
  • Knowledge of health and safety and environmental legislation associated with construction projects.
  • Forward-leaning and flexible, with a high ethical standard.
  • Systematic and structured, able to prepare and deliver on plan.
  • Experience of working in a team and delivering against targets and reporting.
  • Pro-active and diligent approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT-based project management software.
  • Experience using VMS management systems.
