Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Wind Turbine Package Manager to lead our offshore renewables project in the Netherlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, specification, supply, transport, installation, and commissioning of wind turbines and associated ancillary packages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Turbine Package team, including procurement specialists, engineers, and wind analysts, to obtain an optimal technical and commercial arrangement that meets the objectives of the contracting strategy for the project.
  • Ensure that the Safety licence 'if it's not safe, we don't do it' is the guiding principle within the management of safety, health, and the environment, and implement the SHE charter in conjunction with the project shareholders and the supply chain.
  • Develop and deliver the Wind Turbine contract package for the project, based on the overall contracting strategy, including the comprehensive evaluation of options available and consideration of all emerging technology and other value improvement opportunities.
  • Work with the project leadership team to define the governance arrangements for the package based on the client's Large Capital Project Governance Framework and provide ongoing confidence that the package will support the project in meeting its phase objectives defined within the PDP and Business Case.
  • Define and manage the budget for the Wind Turbine package and optimum resource plan for the package for each phase of the project, taking into account the requirement for dedicated and shared resources.
  • Project programme tracking, risk management, and coordination of all activities as they relate to the Turbine Package objectives.
  • Work with the project leadership team and other package managers to enhance the contracting strategy for the project, which will optimise supply chain opportunities, the Business Case, and the project delivery strategy.
  • Act as the Employers Representative on Turbine related construction Contracts and ensure that Contract administration is being effectively managed.
Requirements:
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
  • Good project management expertise and understanding of major projects delivery, especially contracting strategy and planning, cost, risk, quality, and commercial management.
  • Ability to challenge project teams and key stakeholders to ensure robust project performance.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in the organisation and to key stakeholders out with the organisation.
  • Ability to clearly present key messages at senior levels, externally and internally.
