About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychology Team Lead to join our team at Queen Elizabeth's Foundation for Disabled People. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting our psychology team in providing high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the psychology team in delivering clinical services to clients with acquired brain injuries and other neurological conditions.
  • Provide direct psychological services to clients and their families, conducting and interpreting a wide range of assessment procedures.
  • Develop and implement out-patient services for non-residential clients requiring clinical psychology.
  • Provide therapeutic support to clients through group work and individual sessions.
  • Prepare detailed professional reports on client assessment and progress, making recommendations for future provision.
  • Direct and supervise the clinical work of clinical staff and students within the centre as appropriate.
  • Provide training and consultation to colleagues on the cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioral implications of acquired brain injury.
  • Conduct analysis of outcomes and participate in service evaluation.
  • Support the CRC General Manager, Head of Clinical Services, and the Psychology team as required.
Person Specification
  • Doctorate-level training in clinical psychology/neuropsychology.
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Experience working with adult neurologically impaired adults.
  • Experience of management at least at team/middle management level.
  • Working with carers.
  • Experience working with people with cognitive impairments.
  • Experienced in the use of neuropsychological assessment to inform care planning.
  • Experience working with clients whose behavior challenges.
  • Experience delivering supervision.
  • Experience working with people who have an acquired brain injury/neuro-rehab setting.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience delivering mindfulness-based interventions.
  • Experience facilitating psycho-education or psychological therapy groups.
  • Experience working with families.
  • Experience working with staff teams in a residential setting.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Able to manage workload independently and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent clinical skills.
  • High-level knowledge of the theory and practice of at least two specialized psychological therapies.
  • Ability to manage a small team of psychologists.
  • Networking abilities within the profession.
  • Skills in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups.
  • The ability to use and interpret specialist psychological and neuro-psychological assessment materials.
  • Quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of current theoretical models and skills in working with people whose behavior challenges.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS.
  • Doctoral-level knowledge of research methodology, research design, and complex, multivariate data analysis as practiced within the clinical fields of psychology.
